9/7/18 Friday Temple Day

Today, Heidi, Gram, Papa and I went to the Gilbert Temple and did endowments. It is a blessing to be able to attend frequently.

9/6/18 Guardianship Approved

This morning Papa and Becca B and I made our way to the Mesa Courthouse. We patiently waited for our turn to speak to the judge. There were signs posted about not taking pictures but Papa asked the judge and received special permission to take a few. Refer to his blog to see them. It was a serious but special occasion. The judge did approve our request for Papa and me to be appointed Becca B's legal guardians. This now puts things in place for Becca to be taken care of into the future. Becca B is very special to me. She is very loving and kind and knows how to have a good time. In her own way, she likes to look after me. I am pleased and proud to be able to help Becca B in this way.

While we were at the courthouse Heidi went to her parent's house to help take care of things that are outside their reach. She is always ready to serve.

9/5/18 Missionary Mutual

This morning Heidi worked on her backdrop for the Patriotic Festival. A lot of work is going into this event.

This evening David and Rebecca had a missionary themed mutual activity. Above is David pointing at a map of where he was "called".

Here are Rebecca and David afterward. They clearly are happy. I am so grateful to live in a ward where we have hard-working leaders who plan and execute fun activities for our kids.

9/4/18 Service and Practice

This morning Heidi and David went over to visit the Haws family. They needed some help trimming a palm tree that was hanging down and hitting people.

They did a great job. Sister Haws later told Papa that she might have to hire David since he did such a good job.

This morning, Papa, Becca B and I went to see Brian Taylor, our lawyer. He helped us go over the questions we'll be asked at the courthouse about Becca's guardianship.

There was a pretty sunset this evening.

Heidi took Rebecca and Sarah to Days for Girls to make kits for girls in other countries.

9/3/18 Labor Day

This morning David and Heidi and I went to put up flags in the neighborhood.

Next, we went to Pioneer Park over by the Mesa Temple.

Sarah invited Jade Lutz to come with us.

David invited his friend Rushton Shirts.

Later, we went to Grammie and Grandpa Mangum's house and swam with the cousins.

Rebecca made a cool block tower.

I helped put the covers back on the ceiling vents now that the paint is dry.

My parents and Becca B also joined us for the party. It was a fun and busy day.

9/2/18 Joseph's Long Skinny Dog

Joseph showed me his playdough creation. I believe that he got some assistance from TJ.

Also today, we all went to church. Later on, Papa and I went home teaching to Sister Haws. She has been going through some rough times lately. Her father recently passed away, her marriage is having trouble and her car is in the shop. It seems as though the trials are piling up. It didn't help much to mention that Job was the subject of our Sunday School lesson. Hopefully, Sister Haws is feeling a little bit better now.

9/1/18 Helpful and Fun Little Boys

This morning TJ helped his mother sort the laundry.

TJ, Joseph and Peter collaborated to make a train track out of blocks. Here they are pretending to be the train.

I'm not sure what this one is that Peter is displaying but to me, it looks like ducks going down a slide.
