Mapleton Fireman's Breakfast

Utah County has this cool thing called the Utah Freedom Band.  Ganon started playing with them before we were married.  This volunteer group plays at random places around the county.  During May every year they perform in Mapleton at the Fireman's Breakfast.  Now that we are back in Provo Ganon was excited to rejoin the group.  We all went to the fire station and ate breakfast.  Then the kids and I played around the fire engines while Ganon performed.  David had fun ringing the bell.  It was a fun morning.

Sleepyheads

So, I'm not sure how children can sleep in such awkward positions, but they do.  Our little ones have been doing it a lot lately.  These are just a few pics I took this week.

It was getting close to bedtime and I found David in his room reading Curious George to himself. I wish the kids would do that more often.

Riding in Style

So, now that we live in Provo, the neighborhood is flat enough to make it possible to ride our bikes.  David has been practicing with his Big Bike (and new training wheels--Thanks Grandpa!).  He is doing great.  With the addition of little Sarah, we didn't have a way to get all of us around on bikes, so we started looking for a bike trailer.  I found one yesterday on KSL Classifieds for $35.  That was in our price range, so we went to look at it.  The trailer has been loved, but will be great with only a little TLC.  We brought it home (it collapses to fit in our trunk) and Ganon hitched it up to his bike.  We went for a spin, and the kids loved it.  David and Rebecca sat in the trailer while I rode with Sarah in the front-carrier.  It was a fun little outing.  I look forward to doing it again soon.  By the way, the trailer also works as a double jogging stroller-- I am so excited!!

We're Movin' On

Well, I thought I'd give a brief update on our lives at the moment.  As you all know, Sarah was born on April 10th.  Two weeks later (after several trips to Provo, a lot of phone calls, and constant prayer) we finally found a place to stay for the summer.  We moved two days later.  We now live in Provo in a 3 bedroom apartment right by BYU.  The building usually rents only to single people during the school year, so we can only stay for four months.  We are hoping to buy a house between now and then.  Our apartment came fully furnished, so most of our stuff is in storage.  Luckily, our storage unit is across the street from Ganon's new job.  This allows us to easily take stuff back and forth as our needs change over the next few months.
We have definitely been blessed by our Heavenly Father during the past few weeks.  We are all healthy and happy, we have a comfortable place to live, and we have the best extended family anyone could ask for.  I would like to thank all of those who have helped us with our crazy lives.  We couldn't have made it through this time without you.  Thank you for all of your love and support.
