Riding in Style

So, now that we live in Provo, the neighborhood is flat enough to make it possible to ride our bikes.  David has been practicing with his Big Bike (and new training wheels--Thanks Grandpa!).  He is doing great.  With the addition of little Sarah, we didn't have a way to get all of us around on bikes, so we started looking for a bike trailer.  I found one yesterday on KSL Classifieds for $35.  That was in our price range, so we went to look at it.  The trailer has been loved, but will be great with only a little TLC.  We brought it home (it collapses to fit in our trunk) and Ganon hitched it up to his bike.  We went for a spin, and the kids loved it.  David and Rebecca sat in the trailer while I rode with Sarah in the front-carrier.  It was a fun little outing.  I look forward to doing it again soon.  By the way, the trailer also works as a double jogging stroller-- I am so excited!!

  1. What a great idea! It will be so good for all of you to get out together. Give the kids a big hug and kiss from Auntie Pat!

  2. Isn't it wonderful being out in the beautiful world together and what a wonderful way to teach the little ones the importance of doing things together and getting exercise and fresh air too. Love, Mom

  3. We wanted to get one of those too, but were we have a busy street at the end of our road we take the bikes to rigby lake and the kids love that. sounds like a lot of fun for you guys.

  4. I noticed that you still have the yellow baby seat so when Sarah gets bigger she can use that. I"m glad you are still getting use out of that bike seat because it was just a pipe dream at my house. It never got attached to a bike and then the kids were too big.
So, keep it the healthy activities.

  5. Brings back fond memories of biking in Kailua. We had many such adventures over the years. Who remembers our bike trailer and tandem bike?

  6. I remember both. Jon and I rode the tandem bike to seminary for years.

  7. Yes, Kel, You guys were inspirational. From our house to the church was over 2 miles, so round trip each morning was nearly 5 miles. And that was before going to school!
