Spring

So, life here in our cozy house continues to move forward. We still need the heat on at night but the kids have found their shorts and love the warmer weather outside. Joseph celebrated his first birthday in February and has switched to being a toddler. He walks, he talks, he throws fits, and he thinks he can do everything his siblings do.  We wouldn't change a thing (except maybe better naps...).

TJ is all but 3 now.  He loves to sing and climb and yell and eat and get dirty. He enjoys following the big kids around and showing Joseph that he is big and strong.  One day Joseph will be big and strong too. Watch out, TJ.

Sarah turns five next week and is so grown up. She knows what she wants and is not easily persuaded to change. She is very girly, and she loves princesses. She also loves being a big sister and being able to help take care of Joseph. Sarah goes to Preschool at BYU and has a great time playing with friends. She looks forward to having Rebecca home in the Summer so they can build fairy houses.

Rebecca is enjoying being six. She has lost two teeth this year. First Grade has been a challenge but  she is excelling. She is becoming a skilled reader and likes her art class. She is in Second Grade Math and is learning new skills all the time. She loves baby dolls, coloring, and helping with Joseph. She got a sewing book for Christmas and is loving trying different projects.

David is our energetic, opinionated, and emotional child. He loves doing things he's good at. He is doing great academically at school and has made a few friends there. This last year he has also found a new adventure in the Cub Scout Program. The leaders are impressed by his hard work and efforts to earn his rank advancements. David loves his family and enjoys playing outside with his siblings and friends.  He looks forward to summer vacation.

  1. Very well written "portrait" of each of the five "kiddos". This helps us to know them a little better. Sounds like abundant family fun and adventure in your home.
