10/30/17 Peter at the Pool

This morning Gram decided that she wanted to take in some vitamin D. After the kids were all off to school, except TJ and Joseph, we sat for a spell on the patio by the pool. Today felt oddly busy for how little seemed to get done. We did laundry, a few work tasks. We snuck in a movie The Martian. Great story about facing long odds. Too bad it has some foul language or it would be great for all the kids to watch.
This evening we went over to the Taylor's for the annual pumpkin carving activity. We carved ours to look like the logo from the TV show Studio C.

10/29/17 Quiet Sunday

Today I was tired. We did a lot yesterday. The kids played the Baseball Memory game that Heidi got for her birthday. I played the piano. I'm starting to be able to play so that people recognize the song. Hopefully, one day, people will be able to sing along and I won't get all flustered and make mistakes. That day is not today. Still, I love to play and it relaxes me.

10/25/17 Softball Day 2

Sarah and Rebecca have both been able to hit the ball and get on base. They were both nervous before yesterday's game and worried that they would not be able to play. On the contrary they have done well, for their age and, I think, had a fun time.

Heidi brings her big smile and happy attitude to bedtime prayer. She is always bringing cheer to our whole family.

10/23/17 Weekly Meeting

Today I had a good meeting with Trent and Marcos and Ken. We visited about the monthly report we make for them and chatted about a new idea that they have in the works. If it goes as well as they hope it could be great for them and provide more work for us. It sounds like a win/win.

10/22/17 Bed Time Prayer

Joseph and Peter show Gram and Papa their costume ideas for Halloween. We look forward to visiting with them each night for bedtime prayer.

Our bed becomes an impromptu gathering place for working on projects.

10/19/17 Heidi Humanitarian

Today Heidi made it back to Humanitarian today. David, Rebecca and Sarah are working hard to get caught up in school. TJ and Joseph also have work to do since they were sick before we left.

10/18/17 Sandy Shoe

This is Joseph's shoe after a day of school. Each day, before school, he has to go outside and dump copious amounts of sand out of his shoe before he puts it on. When he returns his shoe looks like this again. I love this boy. Glad to see that he enjoys playing in the sand.
