Snow Removal

It is always amazing to me how such a pretty thing floating gently from the sky can cause such a headache (or back ache).  Lovely snow came floating down yesterday.  And it kept falling... all day long.  I went out and shoveled part of the driveway before Ganon got home from work, but you could hardly tell by the time he got home.  Luckily, the snow eventually stopped and it warmed up outside today.  The kids helped me dig the car out.

David has loved using the snow shovel from Papa.

Rebecca and David worked together to carry the heavy load.

Sarah was worn out from helping so much that she fell asleep in the stroller.  I was reminded of how blessed I am to have a warm house and a wonderful family.  I guess I don't mind the snow so much as long as the sun comes back out to warm my soul.

  1. All Hail to a Pioneer woman and her Pioneer children! We're very impressed by your attitude and energy. Good fun to see our little snow shovel being used. And wonderful to see the children. We resolve (once again) to never need a snow shovel again.

  2. It is a good time to teach the children how to shovel the snow. That way they will know how to do it when they are older.

  3. So how much time between getting done shoveling and posting it? Because you have a very good attitude about dealing with the snow. Good for you! And great job getting the kids involved. I am sure I would have had some sobbing from one of mine about being tooo cold!
