11/12/18 Happy Veteran's Day

Today we celebrated Veteran's day with the kids home from school. Some of the kids are unfamiliar with the idea of sleeping in. Before 6 am I was up with them having breakfast. We decided to take a walk to the nearby park. This was a blessing to those who wanted to sleep in as some of us have not learned about "quiet voices".

Once all were awake we went for a family bike ride. We learned yesterday that, beginning in January, our Sunday church meetings will be held in a new location. We decided that it would be best to time ourselves and see if biking to church will still be practical.

We all made it. (See how happy TJ is?) It took us about 30 minutes. That's well over the typical 10ish for our current meeting hall. We'll have to think about whether or not that works for us.

Since we'd come this far Heidi decided we should check out the park that is close to the meeting house.

The kids enjoyed playing on the spaceship.

. . . and on this obstacle course.

Heidi snapped some fun shots of the kids who were willing having fun together.

I think that Peter was having too much fun playing in the sand.

This part of the day was less fun. On the happy side though, it should be the last time Joseph has to go to the dentist for a while.
