3/22/19 3D Printer Arrives

This morning I started Kon Mari'ing the office. Step 1 move everything out that I wasn't sure needed to stay. This is going to take a while.

David's 3D Printer arrived today. Look at how happy he is.

The one he picked came in parts that needed to be assembled like a fancy erector set.

I'll confess that I was nervous about how well this was going to work.

Success! David's first 3d printed shape was a part for the 3D printer. He learned from watching YouTube videos that the little plastic connector that is supposed to hold the filament feeding tube is poorly designed. So he held the tube in place with his hand while the first part printed. Now the tube stays in place as it should. Great job being a problem solver and doing your research David!

Today Heidi finished this great dress. Sorry, I don't have a better picture but it turned out beautifully.

End of the first day with the 3D printer. David has used up the test filament included with the printer and ordered more.

This is our good turn brainstorm from Family Home Evening.
