Trick or Treating

We went trick-or-treating as a family this evening. David dressed up as Tigger and Rebecca was Cindy Loo Who from "How the Grinch Stole Christmas." They both had lots of fun going up to each door and picking out a piece of candy. The biggest problem was getting Rebecca to put the candy in her bucket and keep it there. She also struggled when we stopped somewhere but no one was home-- she didn't like leaving empty-handed. One unfortunate side benefit is that Ganon and I get to have all of the candy that may contain peanuts. Luckily, both Rebecca and David still have more than enough candy to last them for a while.

  1. The costumes looked very cute. Rycharn said that your "Cindy Loo Who" was perfect. David certainly has the Tigger bounce down.

  2. the kids look great. how fun for you to get the parent 20% to 80% candy ratio. The parents get 80 and the kids do 20.

  3. Rebecca seems so much older when dressed in a long dress. Is her dress one of the things you were sewing? It is so fun. I liked your pumpkins too. I can just see how much David helped his sister learn about Halloween. I miss them both so much. Thanks for the pictures. Gramma

  5. I has been fun to share costumes with family, Aaron used our clown (size 6) and David made a great Tigger (size 4T) in our Tigger costume. Chris had fun using that one as well.
We have also shared a Panda Bear outfit in years past. Fortunately, it was warm enough for Rebecca to be "Cindy Loo Who" instead of the Panda Bear (size 18 months). She was a great Cindy.
If anyone needs our smaller costumes for next year let me know. We also have 3T and 4T Pooh Bear costumes, and the hunny pot to use for trick or treating. David used it this year.
