This morning while I had some phone meetings, Heidi and Brother Johnson installed this new grab bar in Gram's shower. Papa says that they are going for the record for most grab bars per square foot in a Mesa Arizona shower.
Papa also reported a tender mercy that they discovered during this project. In order for the bars to provide the needed support they needed to be drilled into a stud. Adding a new stud would have been very costly and time consuming. After much searching Heidi and Brother Johnson discovered where the studs were behind the tile. It turns out that when the house was built they put the studs exactly where Gram needed them to be so that she could have her grab bar in the correct place. This is clearly a tender mercy and a tithing blessing as there is no reason that stud couldn't have been two inches to the right or to the left. So grateful that Heavenly Father is watching over us.
