4/6/18 Friends to the Rescue

This morning Heidi watered the holes. She realized that there is no way all the dirt that came out of those holes is going back in unless the dirt settles more.

This picture is for size reference. This ladder went down into the bigger hole right up to the plastic at the top. Did I mention that this has been a big project?

Just to show that we don't only dig holes we went to the temple and did endowments.

While we were there one of our friends came over and helped fill in the hole some more. We are going to have a bunch of leftover dirt.

This picture Gram took last night. It shows our children coming to the rescue by doing a dirt bucket brigade. They helped us move a ton of dirt, perhaps literally.

This evening our friends Bob Wilstead and Steve Donnelly and their wives came to our rescue.

Bob brought his trailer to help us haul off the excess dirt. He estimates that we put at least a ton and a half of dirt in there.

This is the final result of the day. We likely need to get more landscaping rocks but the hole is filled in and the excess dirt is gone.

Just to keep from being bored we followed that event up by helping Heather and fam unload and then reload the trailer that had Grammie and Grandpa Mangum's stuff in it. I did not have trouble sleeping after this day.

  1. Definitely "Big Project" blessed to have hard working family and kind friends to help complete it
