This morning, shortly after sending the kids off to school, we got a call from Grammie Mangum. Grandpa Mangum slipped in the bathroom and fell. Jim Nelson helped me give him a blessing and urged us to call 911.
After what felt like an eternity the doctors let us know that he broke his leg in 3 places and would likely need surgery. The good news is that he didn't have a stroke. It could have been much worse.
Heidi realized right away that her Dad was going to need a wheelchair accessible bathroom when he got home.
She grabbed me and David and took charge widening the doorway.
Heidi's brother Matt came over with some tools to lend a hand. This is going to be a big project.
So sad for Grandpa. But counted among the blessings was getting a priesthood blessing and having a noble family to rally around him
