Today was David's Winter concert for his band class. This is his second year playing the trombone. He has improved noticeably. Practice is still not a favorite but he generally does it happily enough.with a simple reminder. His 6th grade class played several familiar tunes including Jingle Bell Rock and Surfin USA. Fun stuff. Another treat, cousin Bradley, who is only in fourth grade, played a solo after being introduced by his sister Lauren.
David actually had two performances. I got to go to the "matinee" with Gram, Papa and Becca B. The other kids (except the two youngest) watched with their school class. Heidi got to see the evening show. Poor Peter has a terrible cough so we don't want to take him places and risk getting people sick. Otherwise we probably all would have gone tonight. Anyhow, it was a great fun show and I'm glad I got to go.
