Today we had our first rain in what felt like months and it was a big one. Heidi was out with Peter at the dentist. It was raining so hard that she felt the need to stop at her parent's and get out of the storm.
We later saw a report that some places nearby had wind gusts up to 80 mph. Back at our house, the kids helped me bring in the clothes off the line. I felt impressed to go outside just before things started picking up speed. Happily, the kids came quickly and we kept the clothes from getting all wet and muddy. The wind blew our pool toys all over the yard and the lights flickered several times. Still, power didn't go completely out and we all stayed safe. We felt blessed to have places to be out of the storm.
Blessed to receive the needed moisture and all the fam and casa staying safe
