As a family, one of our current goals is to be able to work happily together. Most of us are having trouble sticking around after dinner to help clean up.
As I talked about it with Papa we realized that one reason is that some of the kids really don't seem to know what "done" looks like.
Papa suggested that we take some pictures of the kitchen when it is clean and put them where the kids can see them. We've been trying this for a few days now. It's not perfect but it has definitely helped. There seems to be less confusion about what we mean by "clear the counter" and "wipe off the table".
