8/29/18 Peter Dentist, David Palm

This morning Peter had a follow-up visit at the dentist. He had to be put under by an anesthesiologist because he was so fussy last time. This time they got all the work done. It was expensive and the poor kid is still sore. Hopefully, though it will help him avoid pain in the future. Now we need to continue teaching him about brushing.

Tonight David was awarded 6 merit badges that he earned during the summer. This was more than enough to earn David his gold palm. This indicates that he has earned 10 more merit badges beyond those required for Eagle. We are so proud of David and how hard he has worked to learn and earn his awards. We know that these skills are helping him in his life. Way to go David!

  1. Oh Sweet Peter—we can seriously feel your pain. Good luck learning to brush AND floss. David your achievements are stellar. We hope the skills you’ve mastered will serve you well

  2. My children still struggle with brushing, Christopher who fights the sensory part of it has been blessed with a kind pediatric dentist. Even though our insurance nor Medicade refused to cover it, he put sealants on all of Christopher’s molars. And all still to this day is done with sedation. The dentist wrote off the cost and saved Christopher’s teeth. He sealed the baby molars and then the permanent ones as they came in. Wondering if that expense would be something to consider for Peter. Hope he and Gram are eating yummy soft foods together. Congrats David on your second Palm!
