7/11/16 Shelf Reliance

Today was 7/11 day so we dropped in and got some free Slurpees. The kids were very excited. I'm not sure how many years it's been since we went to a 7-11. Sarah didn't seem to know there was such a place. It was a fun treat.

On Saturday we picked up this great shelf at Goodwill half price day. They retail for over $400. This one was $5. It's the kind where you put in cans and they roll into place. The company that makes it is called Shelf Reliance. They specialize in food storage.

It looks like the previous owner spilled some soy sauce on it. Peter was all over the chance to help clean the plastic shelf pieces off.
We feel blessed to have found such a good deal. In reality we don't have room for it in the house we are renting. At least not to use it properly. Heidi and I have faith that things will work out and we'll be able to buy a house that we fit in better soon. This is a chance to stretch our faith a bit. To paraphrase Dory from Finding Nemo "just keep praying. . ."

  1. Another multi topic journal. Great buy on the shelves. Let's keep praying that a shelf size house will come along

  2. If you need any help with the shelf, let us know. We didn't get the deal that you did but we have a similar shelf so might be of some use to you. You will need some funny "comb" looking pieces that attach to the back and bottom of the can pieces to make them say the width you want for each can type. Without them the shelf doesn't work at all. I'm sure you can order them if you didn't get them.
