Today was packed. It started with David and Rebecca testing Gram's scooter to be sure it still runs.
Now that the kitchenette is done Papa is ready to bring in some of the kitchen things that have been kept in the garage. We helped moving things around.
Next we went to Anthoni Andelt's baptism. His dad Ryan did the baptism. I had the honor of being one of the witnesses. Anthoni is a great kids. His dad reports that he was ready to be baptized.
After the baptism most of us made a trek down to Tucson for the Tucson temple open house. David was brave and stayed home so that he could babysit Alex and Lucy.
After the almost 2 Hour long drive we stood in the standby line To wait for our turn to see the Temple.
First they took us to a room and showed us a short video about the temple.
Next we boarded by us so that we could travel a couple of miles to the temple. Some of the younger kids couldn't remember ever riding on a bus like this.
My favorite quote from inside the temple was from when we went into the Celestial room. Peter I'm not around and immediately said "It's Christmas".
We made it back in time to attend the Stake ice cream social.
Becca B came along and, as you can see, had fun doing the hokey pokey. She also did pretty well at the limbo.
It was a fun, spiritual, wall to wall day.
We're proud that you made the trek to see the Tucson Temple. It will be a forever memory for the older kids. We appreciated the help moving Gramma and my kitchen stuff. Initially discouraged by the amount of stuff, with Gramma taking the lead in deciding where things should go, about 98% got put away into the new kitchenette cupboards. Thanks to David in running Gramma's scooter. We were relieved that the expensive batteries had not died.
