6/5/17 Cabinets and Camping

This morning (at 3 am) I dropped off David at the Phelp's house so he could go to Scoutcamp. It's his first time. Last night he was very concerned about it. Some tears were shed. We finally reminded him that he would not be the youngest boy at camp and that the younger boys might need his help. This seemed to comfort him. Gram also cheered him with a pep talk. When he got in the van he wore a smile.

This morning Heavenly Father and the Big Blue van came through for us again. It was time to pick up the cabinets for Gram and Papa's room. There was even room to spare.

At home the boxes took up a sizable chunk of Papa's living room. Here is Rebecca exploring. The kids loved hiding in them. There is nothing quite like a large cardboard box to a child.

Speaking of large cardboard boxes here are TJ Joseph and Peter playing with the last large cardboard box to come into the house.
This evening for FHE we talked about President Hinkley's lesson from the Priesthood manual about Peace Through Self Reliance. It is a good reminder for all of us.

After FHE we went for a swim. Becca B has been having fun with the kids in the pool.

This shot is actually from June 2 when we played Baby Minnows and Papa Shark. Heidi got this great shot of the 4 older kids swarming me at once.

David appears to have made it safely up to scout camp. We received a text message request from the scoutmaster for pictures of his "Lego collection". He is apparently going to be working on the Collection merit badge.
