12/3/16 Ward Christmas Breakfast

This morning we participated in our ward's annual Christmas breakfast. We enjoyed yummy pancakes and sausages and the primary kids put on a beautiful nativity and sang Christmas songs. Above you can see the group shot of all the primary kids after the program. In this ward they go all out and have all the kids in costume.

We arrived early to help set up. Heidi helped with decorations and dressing primary kids in costume. David helped set up tables. I was in charge of the microphone and Christmas music.

Joseph and Peter helped the photographer check his camera to make sure that he was ready for when Santa would later appear.

This year TJ was the only one interested in getting his picture taken with Santa. He got in line all by himself.

Three of our kids dressed up for parts in the nativity this year. Sitting at the feet of Mary and Joseph you can see TJ the shepherd.

On the right you can see Sarah cast as one of the Angels.

Rebecca was also cast as an angel. She was asked to take on a responsible role of making sure that the younger angels knew where they were supposed to be.

Here is a shot that the assigned ward photographer took of me visiting with Jake Danley from the ward. I'm wearing a coat that was handed down to us by Heidi's dad from when he served in the military. The weather was cool enough that I was grateful that I decided to wear two layers but it didn't seem as cold as it was last year. We are lucky to live in a place where the weather is mild enough that a December activity can take place outdoors.

  1. Jolly good blog! You are blessed to live in an active ward with a vibrant Primary, giving those children a forever memory. Sarah makes a perfect angel. Glad to see TJ getting into the spirit of the season
