1/13/17 House Hunting

This morning we swapped our usual morning visit with Gram and Papa for an afternoon one. This allowed us to get some other work done in the morning and be able to meet with them, and a friend who does real estate (Joan Glenn) to look at a house. It was not exactly what we are looking for but at this point we are trying to widen the net in the hopes of finding something "good enough" in an area we like at a price we can afford.
After the house visit we returned to our current house to discuss pros and cons. We decided that there are definitely more pros than cons about the house we saw. At the same time the cons are not insignificant. We prayed to close our meeting to either have our decision confirmed or to have a stupor of though, like it says in the scriptures. I haven't asked Mom and Dad how they felt yet after they left. Heidi and I, if you can say it this way, felt the clearest "stupor of thought" we could remember having. On paper the house makes sense, it's in a neighborhood we love and should be big enough. Still, we couldn't make ourselves feel good about it. I trust Heavenly Father has a plan for us. Heidi and I are not completely sure what the next step is. Perhaps we hire an agent to help us find a better fit. Heidi felt prompted to ask our friends the Reeds about their house that is not yet on the market. We'll keep praying and trust that direction will come.
