1/22/17 Puzzle Blocks

Yesterday our neighbors were having a yard sale to benefit a local animal shelter. Among the "treasures" we found a box of tangram style blocks. This morning I let the kids try them out. It was fun seeing them use their imagination and creativity to create shapes and patterns.
In the photo above we see Joseph, TJ and Sarah hard at work on their creations.

Rebecca also joined in the fun. the kids seemed especially interested in exploring patterns and symmetry.

TJ made a checkerboard house.

Sarah was pleased with her intricate design.

Joseph also seemed to have a clear idea of what he wanted to make.

In addition to blocks today David and I went to 7 am priesthood meeting. I am proud of David for mustering a good attitude in spite of the early hour.
In the afternoon we enjoyed our church meetings and some quiet time at home. At least as quiet as it gets with six kids at home. We enjoy them so it's a good thing.
