9/4/17 Labor Day

David and Heidi and I started the day setting up flags as part of the young men camp fund raiser.

Afterwards we decided to give another go at the paper clip game.

We tried a young family with no success and then we saw my home teaching companion Larry Black. He and Sister Black were out working in the yard. She traded us this pool raft for our toy basketball hoop.

Next we stopped at Bishop Schnepf's house. He traded us for this great inner tube.

The kids loved it. They had fun totting it home. We also used the opportunity to run Gram's scooter to keep the battery from wearing out. This is service the kids can get right into.

This evening we had dinner at Matt and Sharon's new house. Matt and Doug and I set up a volleyball net in the yard. It's a nice yard but it was still close to 100 degrees so it was hard to want to be outside. Afterwards the Roches and the Mangums came over for a swim at our house.

  1. Thanks for hanging our special flag that was presented to us in Punchbowl when my Dad was interred. Good job on the paper clip game
