4/26/16 Gifted and Talented

This year David and Rebecca have continued participating in the Gifted and Talented program at Entz. Above you can see David is about to learn if his boat is sea worthy. Below that picture you see Rebecca and her partner with the bridge that they designed. They have been learning a lot through this program. Recently Sarah was recommended to take the test to see if she qualified to be part of the program. Well, she too has her Mother's genes. We received a letter in the mail that she will be starting in the GT program when she starts the 3rd grade. (3rd is when the program begins). We are proud of all our kiddos and we're glad the school offers this chance for them to stretch.
In other events of the day, it was a Heritage day for me. The students did OK with the new material. It continues to be a balancing act trying to figure out how fast to go. There are always some with that dear in the headlight look no matter how slow I go.  Today I also got to face to boys who got all but one of the test answers the same (both right and wrong). The story they gave is that they study together so they would know the material the same. Angela Parker, the Math Chair doesn't buy it. I'm giving them a chance to retake the test to show me that they did not cheat. Crazy.
