4/27/16 A Change In Planning

This week Heidi and I have been trying something new in our planning. It seems to be working so far. Instead of planning for the day right after the kids leave for school we've been trying to plan for the next day at 4 pm. That hasn't worked so well on school days where I don't get home until after 5 pm. However, even with that said the results have been far better than our morning attempts. This method of planning allows us to start the day doing high priority work at a time when we still have high energy and focus. Somehow we also get more planning done. We are able to move things that need to be moved and check things off better. We used to have a long list of "late" items. These were mostly low priority things that we meant to do but didn't get to. It takes time and effort to either reschedule them or drop them. This somehow has been easier in the afternoon. We'll see how this goes.
This morning Heidi went to the temple. Heidi and I talked about setting a goal to alternate weeks going to the temple. As we hoped the challenges of getting to the temple weekly in April were far less than the blessings of increased peace of mind. I'm looking forward to renewing our goal for May.
This evening after dinner we walked over to the grassy field. We took some baseball stuff. Saturday is the Heritage Staff vs Seniors Softball game. I wanted a chance to practice a little before the game. I hit the ball a few times. Michael Hallsted even pitched me a few. Then we played catch. It was fun.
