5/8/16 Happy Mother's Day

Today was a lovely Mother's Day. It started with the kids giving Heidi the gifts they've been dying to give her all week. Above David, TJ and Joseph made handprints. Rebecca and Sarah drew flowers. Heidi felt very loved. I got her a package of 1000 paper plates. Heidi likes the idea of fewer dishes to wash.
Peter had a runny nose and Heidi was not at 100% so she stayed home with him. Heidi's parents came to church with us. It helped having some extra hands. Tech stuff was tricky but I think we lived. Doug and I taught Sarah's primary class. Some of the girls were a surprising handful. Sarah was an angel helper though. That made it better. We talked about how Jesus healed the sick and how He gave us the Priesthood so people can be healed today.
This afternoon we went to Heather's house to celebrate the day. Heidi's parents came and Matt and Sharon joined in too. Some people played a board game. We had dinner and ice cream. Good fun.
